The Eltham Foundation School is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive with 1200 students on roll. The school reintroduced 6th Form provision in September 2007. In March 2008, OFSTED judged us to be a rapidly improving school. We are now at an exciting stage of development: student numbers are increasing rapidly, exam results are rising faster than the national average, we have received a School Achievement Award for 2007-8 and regained specialist Sports College status, International School status and Investors in People recognition.
At The Eltham Foundation School we are committed to support the education of the whole child and provide opportunities for personal, social and intellectual development. As an inclusive school, we aim to ensure that the unique potential of each student is fully realised.
The school is on one site with excellent facilities. In February 2007 the school opened a £2 million sports hall and all weather pitch, alongside extensive playing fields. We will soon be commencing a Building Schools for the Future Programme with a £31 million refurbishment. We are also fortunate to share our site with Eltham Green City Learning Centre and the Greenwich Professional Development centre.
